Edwin’s interests in Interior Design started at an early age, stemming from family influences. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, Edwin was exposed to art & design through his mother and grandfather. His grandfather dealt in antiques, introducing Edwin to that world of fine furniture, porcelain & silver. Edwin’s mother was an artist in her own rite, as well as dabbled in the world of Interior Design. Being exposed to their creativity helped Edwin to gain an appreciation of the aesthetic world. Though he entered college as a history & psychology major, it was in his senior year that Edwin began thinking of design in terms of career. Edwin earned his dual degree, Bachelor of Art in Psychology & Design from The University of Pittsburgh in 1977, which has become the perfect combination of skill sets when working with clientele.

I started hiring Edwin as a designer about twenty years ago when I wanted to redecorate my condominium. Edwin made an effort to understand my lifestyle and what I wanted to achieve. He was easy and fun to work with and made interesting and creative suggestions that were beautiful as well as economical investments. Since I find it very difficult to visualize how a finished space will look, it is with full confidence in Edwin’s ability to steer me in the right direction that I was able to be bolder and get “out-of the-box”. Edwin helped me transform my space with lighting, plumbing fixtures, and accessories, while also integrating my beautiful existing furniture. It’s been ten years and I still love what we did and continue to work with Edwin to update as needed and keep things fresh. Each room looks and works beautifully, and we receive compliments every time we have guests in our home!
When we decided to purchase and gut two adjacent apartments in the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, to create a large 3 bedroom, 3 bath home, we knew we wanted a design that was amazing. Edwin was the perfect fit as a designer, working with our architect and contractor at the beginning stages of the project so that the end result was exactly what we wanted. Edwin initially designed the whole home, including our fabulous tiled bathrooms and large eat-in kitchen. A few years later we hired Edwin again to furnish the living room and dining room. We love everything and think our home is just beautiful.
